Buffalo Bills Free Agent Target: Tim Settle

The good front offices in the NFL find those players in free agency who may be overlooked or not have opportunities with their previous team that could break out. At the defensive tackle position, Tim Settle is one of those players that meet that criteria and could end up being a bargain signing for a team like the Buffalo Bills.

In fact, Pro Football Focus named Settle as the ‘perfect’ free agent signing for Buffalo this offseason. He was a sixth round pick by Washington in 2018 but struggled to get consistent playing time on a defensive line that had four former first round picks.

Settle has played in 63 games over four years with Washington but averaged only 16 snaps per game. In his career, he has 54 total tackles, seven sacks, and 12 QB hits. If the Buffalo Bills were to add Settle, he likely would rotate with Oliver at the three-tech spot and be asked to rush the passer more than defend against the run due to his skill set.
