Sign Rasul Douglas

The other area of the defense that the Buffalo Bills would want to address is the cornerback position. The Bills will still have Tre’Davious White, who when healthy is one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL. However, he suffered a torn ACL last year and it remains to be seen if he will be ready for the start of the year.

The team also may lose Levi Wallace, who has been a starter for a few years but is set to be a free agent. That is why it is important to find a cornerback who can step in as the top cornerback until White is ready but once he is back would be an excellent number two cornerback.

While J.C. Jackson is the top cornerback available in free agency, I think Rasul Douglas could be a better fit. He likely won’t command as big of a contract as Jackson but also this past year with the Green Bay Packers was an excellent ballhawk with five interceptions.

In a defense with Tre’Davious White, opposing quarterbacks are typically going to shy away from him. By adding a cornerback who can force interceptions as Douglas can only help a defense that was near the top of the league in that category last year.
