Buffalo Bills Free Agent Target: Damiere Byrd

The next wide receiver is a veteran who has developed into an excellent situational, depth player at the position. He also knows some of the coaches currently with the Buffalo Bills, specifically Sean McDermott and Ken Dorsey, well as he started his career with the Carolina Panthers. Byrd joined the Panthers in 2015 and spent the entire season on the practice squad.

He would be added to the active roster in 2016 and played for the Panthers through the 2018 season.

Byrd would have one-year stops with the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, and Chicago Bears. He would average 35 receptions, 431 receiving yards, 12.31 yards per reception, and one touchdown each year over this stretch.

Damiere Byrd likely wouldn’t fit at the slot so if the Buffalo Bills were to add him he would likely just be a depth option that the coaching staff may try to use a few times a game on shot plays.
