Buffalo Bills Draft Target: Kenneth Walker III
Entering the NFL Combine, there were essentially three running backs vying for that top spot with Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker III competing with Iowa State’s Breece Hall and Texas A&M’s Isaiah Spiller. The competition seemed to tighten up to two after a subpar performance by Spiller in Indianapolis. However, his agent did say it was due to an injury and he will perform at Texas A&M’s Pro Day.
While Breece Hall looked great, the performance by Kenneth Walker should not be overlooked. Kenneth Walker III is a physical running back that doesn’t go down on first contact. According to Pro Football Focus, he finished last year first in rushing yards, yards after contact, forced missed tackles.
At the Combine, he also showed his ability to catch passes out of the backfield like in this clip by Michigan State Football.
If the Buffalo Bills are going to draft Kenneth Walker III, it would likely require a first or second round pick. It remains to be seen if they would be willing to invest that high draft capital but there is no denying that he would be a great addition to the offense.
