The Buffalo Bills could be looking to draft a wide receiver in the 2022 NFL Draft and sounds like one former Alabama wide receiver is on their radar

The focus for the NFL is in Indianapolis as the league hosts the annual Combine. This is one of the biggest steps along the way to the NFL Draft, which will be held at the end of April.

During this time, teams are able to meet with prospects but it is also a time for media to ask players questions as well. One position the Buffalo Bills could be looking at closely is wide receiver and may have their sights set on one of the top players at the position.

According to Matt Parrino, Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams said he has had a meeting with the Buffalo Bills and “hopes to stay in contact.” He also said that he would love to play with Josh Allen.

Jameson Williams could be a good fit in the Buffalo Bills offense

The Buffalo Bills could be looking to add a wide receiver or two this offseason and Jameson Williams is an interesting player that could address some needs at the position. The biggest is that Buffalo didn’t have many wide receivers who can excel at generating yards after the catch and the Bills ranked last in the NFL in that category.

Jameson Williams has great speed and last year at Alabama averaged 19.9 yards per reception on 79 receptions. He would finish with over 1,500 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. By adding him to an offense with Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen under center, defenses would have a tough time slowing this offense down.

The biggest question for Williams is around a torn ACL he suffered against Georgia in the National Championship Game. According to Stacey Dales, Williams said that the timeline for recovery was about 5-7 months and he is currently ahead in his rehab. This could mean he potentially would be available at the start of training camp which would be remarkable recovery time.
