Buffalo Bills: 3 cornerbacks to watch at the 2022 NFL Combine
Cam Taylor-Britt, Nebraska
Measurables: 6-0, 205lbs.
Cam Taylor-Britt is a zone-heavy cornerback who fits right in with the Buffalo Bills. Taylor-Britt has a nose for the ball and is an excellent run defender, and played some special teams at Nebraska. Many currently do not project Taylor-Britt to be taken in the top few draft rounds but could be an excellent option for Buffalo in the latter half of the draft.
Taylor-Britt is someone to watch at the Combine because none of his tape really shows elite athleticism or any athletic traits that would wow you. He makes some acrobatic plays, but he usually has to make them because he is beat by his receiver with speed.
Although this appears nitpicky and critical, it is what my eyes are telling me watching Taylor-Britt both on his good and bad reps. This is why the Combine will be so interesting for Taylor-Britt. His testing could very well impact his draft position significantly.
Taylor-Britt would fit with the Bills regardless of his Combine numbers. He would be a great scheme fit who could work on special teams while adjusting to the NFL game. Not only will Brandon Beane like his fit in Leslie Frazier’s defense, but also he is not afraid to make plays going forward and in the backfield.
I love Taylor-Britt as a prospect; although it would be hard to see the Bills going after him if he tests poorly at the combine, Buffalo may stay away.
