3 Los Angeles Rams free agents the Buffalo Bills could pursue
These are three Los Angeles Rams that are set to be free agents after the Super Bowl that the Buffalo Bills could look to sign
On Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals will take the field against the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. The Buffalo Bills, unfortunately, won’t be playing for the Lombardi Trophy this year but for Bills’ fans, there are plenty of storylines to watch, like former Bills playing in the game.
Another storyline is players who are set to be free agents after the game that the Buffalo Bills could look to sign to address needs. These are three players on the Los Angeles Rams that could be good fits for the Bills.
Von Miller
The Buffalo Bills almost certainly will be making changes at the defensive end position after a lackluster year and with Mario Addison and Jerry Hughes set to be free agents. The Bills may want to find a player that can be an impact player at the position and help Greg Rousseau.
One player that could be a good fit is Von Miller, who spent 10 years with the Denver Broncos before being traded during the season to the Rams. The veteran pass rusher has had an impressive finish to the season with a sack in six straight games, a streak that was snapped in the NFC Championship Game.
If the Bills want a change at the position but want to add a veteran, Von Miller could make sense for this defense.
Darious Williams
The cornerback position is one that has a lot of moving parts that don’t really give Buffalo a clear path forward in how they address it. Levi Wallace is set to be a free agent and the team has the uncertainty around Tre’Davious White and if he will be ready to return at the start of next season.
Darious Williams has been a starter for most of the past two seasons with an excellent year in 2020 with four interceptions and allowed two touchdown receptions. This past season, he hasn’t played as well and finished with no interceptions and allowed four touchdowns.
If the Buffalo Bills don’t re-sign Levi Wallace, or want to add depth to the position, Darious Williams is a cornerback that could address a big need.
Austin Corbett
On the offensive side of the ball, the interior offensive line is going to be a point of focus for the Buffalo Bills. They are set at tackle with Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown but could look for starters, particularly at guard.
Corbett was a second round pick by the Cleveland Browns in 2018 and traded to the Rams in 2020. He has started 40 games over the past two seasons and according to Pro Football Focus is a Top 20 guard in wins above replacement over the past two seasons.
Corbett would be an upgrade at the position and could help Buffalo both in run blocking and pass protection on the interior of the line.
