Buffalo Bills QB coach Ken Dorsey

Ken Dorsey has spent a number of years as quarterback coach in the NFL and was in that role with the Carolina Panthers from 2013 to 2017 and more recently with the Buffalo Bills since 2019. He has been position coach during some of Cam Newton’s best years in Carolina and most recently with Josh Allen.

The idea of Brian Daboll leaving is not a surprise and is something that has been discussed over the past week. According to Dan Fetes, Josh Allen said this week that he is a ‘huge advocate for someone in the building’ which Fetes believes is Ken Dorsey.

This is not surprising as Allen has worked closely with Dorsey over the years. However, the biggest question with Dorsey is how he might handle calling plays, something he hasn’t done yet as a coach.

In the end, Ken Dorsey is probably the favorite but he is also being pursued by Brian Daboll and the New York Giants to be their offensive coordinator, according to Jordan Schultz. If he were to take that job, these are some other coaches outside the organization who could be considered.
