The stakes are unbelievably high in this contest for both sides

Hosting a conference championship game is no small feat. It was actually Buffalo’s goal after it’s lost in Kansas City last season. General Manager Brandon Beane said at the end of last season that the goal was to host the AFC Championship Game in the 2021 season.

After experiencing bumps in the road throughout the season, and enduring ugly losses to boot, Buffalo has everything it needs to play in Orchard Park next week for a chance to reach its first Super Bowl in almost 30 years.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have a legacy on the line. Media pundits have noted that these quarterbacks could be in the midst of a rivalry in the AFC for years to come; a la Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. If Mahomes loses, his already decorated career potentially takes a backseat to Allen. If Allen wins, he’ll earn due respect from the national media.

The Chiefs have played in three straight AFC Championship games and Buffalo has as good a shot as any to end their streak there. If the Bills can reach the title game, it’ll be the franchise’s first time hosting a conference championship since the 1993 season.

With a lot on the line, the team that executes will be headed back to the conference title game. Both teams appear to be evenly matched. And Sunday’s game could go down as one of the best Divisional Round contests in recent history.
