Buffalo Bills vs. KC Chiefs: Inactives for the AFC Divisional Round

These are the inactives for the Buffalo Bills in their AFC Divisional Round matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs

For the second straight week, the inactives for the Buffalo Bills were not clear entering the game as they are very healthy at this point in the season. The Bills entered this matchup with no players carrying an injury designation with the only question mark this week being Mario Addison.

The veteran defensive end was dealing with a shoulder injury that had limited him in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. However, he practiced in full on Friday and is active for today’s game.

Inactives for the Buffalo Bills includes defensive tackle Vernon Butler

This week, the Buffalo Bills are going to make sure they have the depth on the defensive side of the ball to match up against this Chiefs passing attack. This means they have nine defensive linemen and nine defensive backs active for today’s game.

The Bills want to make sure they have in particular plenty of depth at the defensive end position with six active that includes Greg Rousseau, Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, A.J. Epenesa, Boogie Basham, and Efe Obada, who was inactive this past week. The Bills’ ability to put pressure on Patrick Mahomes with their front four is going to be one of the keys to the game for this defense.

To make room for this extra depth on the end, the Bills have defensive tackle Vernon Butler among the inactives for today’s game. The other players who are inactive are wide receiver Marquez Stevenson, running back Matt Brieda, offensive lineman Bobby Hart, tight end Tommy Sweeney and defensive backs Josh Thomas and Nick McCloud. The last two players were called up yesterday from the Bills’ practice squad.

The AFC Divisional Round matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs will kick off at 6:30 PM EST.
