Do the offseason moves by the Buffalo Bills pay off?

After their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, the focus for the Buffalo Bills was how they can improve their roster to compete with the Chiefs. The Bucs gave teams a blueprint in last year’s Super Bowl, in which the primary focus is getting pressure on Patrick Mahomes with your defensive line and limit calling blitzes.

The Bills tried to improve their pass rush by using their first two picks in the 2021 NFL Draft on defensive ends by selecting Greg Rousseau in the first round and Boogie Basham in the second. Rousseau has essentially been the starter all season while Basham has been in and out of the lineup as healthy scratches.

However, in Week 5 both rookies made big plays as Rosseau would finish with five total tackles, one sack and an interception. As for Basham, he would add three total tackles and split a sack with Jerry Hughes.

The front office wanted to improve their pass rush particularly with this matchup in mind. Can those moves be the deciding factor on Sunday?
