Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes

The top storyline is clearly the battle at quarterback as Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen is coming off the best game of his career and Patrick Mahomes has returned to playing at an MVP level as well.

This past week against the Patriots, Josh Allen threw for 308 passing yards and five touchdowns without turning the ball over once. The Bills’ quarterback actually had fewer incompletions (4) than touchdowns (5). He helped lead the Bills on seven straight touchdown drives to start the game and never allowed New England to get back into the game.

As for Patrick Mahomes, he matched Allen’s touchdown total with five of his own against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He threw for over 400 yards and found success pushing the ball down the field with five players recording at least one reception that went for more than 20 yards.

There is no question that this is shaping up to be a premier quarterback rivalry in the NFL with both early in their career and playing at a high level. This should be a great chapter with both players entering this game playing excellent football.
