Who is inactive for the Buffalo Bills in tonight’s game against the New England Patriots?

The Buffalo Bills are entering their Wild Card matchup with the New England Patriots arguably as healthy as they have been at any point this season. The Bills didn’t have any player limited or miss practice this week due to an injury.

While the Bills are completely healthy, it did add some intrigue about who would be inactive tonight. It could also give some indications on how the coaching staff believes the game may play out.

Marquez Stevenson, Efe Obada inactive for the Buffalo Bills

The most notable names among the inactives for the Buffalo Bills include rookie Marquez Stevenson. At one point this season, the coaching staff gave him a chance to be the starting returner but he had some ball control issues.

The Bills are likely looking to the experience of Isaiah McKenzie on kickoffs and Micah Hyde on punts this week against the Patriots.

On the defensive side of the ball, Efe Obada is inactive for today’s game. He did miss the regular season finale due to an ankle injury but that didn’t seem to be an issue this week as he practiced in full every day.

The fact that Obada is inactive could be due more to the coaching staff wanting Boogie Basham on the field against the New England Patriots. The second round draft pick was active for both games this year against the Patriots and had three total tackles on 38 defensive snaps.

Basham also was active for the regular season finale against the Jets and was able to come away with a sack, which was one of nine on the day for Buffalo. The Bills have nine defensive linemen active for today’s game, along with six linebackers, and they will likely play more 4-3 defense this week with the Patriots being more of a run-heavy offense.

The other inactives for the Buffalo Bills included running back Matt Breida, offensive lineman Bobby Hart, tight end Tommy Sweeney, linebacker Joe Giles-Harris and defensive tackle Eli Ankou.
