The Buffalo Bills are advancing to the next round of the playoffs after a dominant performance over the New England Patriots.
The Buffalo Bills were coming into this game knowing they were playing a team they knew well. This would be the third time they played the Patriots in seven weeks. New England would win the first one but it has been all Buffalo since, including Saturday night in a 47-17 win.
The Bills offense had a historic night as they would score touchdowns on their first seven drives, not counting the kneel down at the end of the first half, which is the first time in the Super Bowl era. In fact, no team had scored on their first five drives in a playoff game and the Bills added two more on top of that.
These are six quick thoughts from the Buffalo Bills big playoff win on Saturday night.
Josh Allen has a nearly perfect game
It was nearly a perfect performance from Josh Allen in what will likely be a career-defining game for him. He finished the game completing 21 of 25 passes for 308 yards with five passing touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added 66 rushing yards on the night.
There was no question that Josh Allen was the best player on the field Saturday night and the New England Patriots for the second straight game did not have an answer for him.
