Buffalo Bills OL Ryan Bates

The final player is one that the Buffalo Bills almost certainly will prioritize this offseason and try to re-sign to a new deal. Ryan Bates has been with Buffalo since 2019 when they traded for him right before the start of the season.

He hasn’t seen much playing time until recently when he was moved into the starting lineup with Buffalo missing a number of starters. It appears to have paid off as the offensive line has played better and Ryan Bates has been a big part of that.

One of the reasons that Brian Daboll is going to be interested in signing Ryan Bates, aside from the fact that he has played well over the past three weeks, is his versatility. He could essentially play any position on the offensive line, which means he could be a good voice in the position room trying to get all the players up to speed to Daboll’s offensive scheme.
