Buffalo Bills stumble in the second quarter for a second straight week

One of the reasons Matt Haack had to punt as many times as he did in the first half was the Buffalo Bills struggled in the second quarter. This followed a similar game script to the previous week against the Atlanta Falcons.

This week, the Bills scored quickly with a great touchdown drive to start the game that was capped off by a Stefon Diggs touchdown. They would add a field goal on the second drive but then the offense would struggle with four straight three and outs. They did find a rhythm though at the end of the first half that helped extend their lead to six with a Tyler Bass field goal.

There have been times this year that the offense has struggled to get going but the past two weeks they seem to hit this lull in the second quarter after a fast start. It is great to see the early success but they need to sustain that through the remainder of the first half and the rest of the game.
