Matt Haack struggles against the Jets
The Buffalo Bills haven’t had to punt the previous two games entering Week 18 against the New York Jets. That streak ended in the first half against the Jets and unfortunately, Matt Haack struggled in the regular-season finale.
He would have three punts in the first half for an average of 28 yards per punt. The Bills would then punt on their first drive of the second half and Haack had the longest punt of the day going 49 yards. However, he didn’t show much touch as the ball carried into the endzone.
It didn’t get much better as Haack would drop a snap later in the third quarter. He would be able to recover but punt the ball only seven yards. He finished the game with seven punts for an average of 33.9 yards per punt.
The first year with the Buffalo Bills hasn’t been great for Matt Haack and this is a position that should be a concern for the coaching staff heading into the playoffs.
