Buffalo Bills should use this game as an opportunity to be sharp heading into the postseason

Inconsistency largely describes Buffalo’s season. After enduring an up and down stretch for eight straight weeks, Buffalo put together a handful of dominant performances to reassert their presence in the conference. On Sunday, the Bills should look to move the ball consistently, make the plays they need to make, and dominate a four-win Jets team.

Having nothing to lose in this matchup, the Jets may look to throw the kitchen sink at Buffalo’s defense. Buffalo’s top-ranked defensive unit must be prepared for whatever gimmick New York comes up with. Over the course of the season, the Bills have dominated inexperienced quarterbacks. And on Sunday, they’ll have their first chance to look dominant against Wilson and a putrid Jets offense.

Last week, Buffalo’s offense did not throw the ball well. Josh Allen had his worse quarterback rating since he entered the league. Allen completed just 42% of his passes and threw three interceptions. Against playoff teams in the tournament, that type of performance will end the Bills’ season. A fine opportunity for Buffalo to be sharp presents itself on Sunday. Execution along with sustained drives could give the Bills some much-needed confidence going into Wild Card weekend.

This time of year, the games simply mean more. And even in the last week of the season, the Bills must be at their best to bring home the AFC East Championship.
