The Buffalo Bills once again could be missing a key part of their offense in Week 18

The final regular season game will be Sunday when the Buffalo Bills play the New York Jets at Highmark Stadium. The Bills should win the game but might be doing it without a key part of their offense.

For the third time this week, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders did not practice on Friday. Even without practicing this week, the Bills listed him as doubtful for Sunday’s game.

When considering the opponent, and the fact that the Bills will be playing their first playoff game of the season next week, it would be surprising to see Sanders take the field.

If he is not available, the team will look to Gabriel Davis to step in. The second year player has been the starter when Sanders has been out and has played well in his place.

Efe Obada was ruled out for the Bills in Week 18

While Emmanuel Sanders does still have a chance to play, the Bills did already rule defensive end Efe Obada out for this weekend’s game. He is dealing with an ankle injury and similar to Sanders has not practiced at all this week.

This should give rookie defensive end Boogie Basham a chance to replace Obada and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him play a majority of the game. This could be a week where the coaching staff limits the workload for veterans Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison, especially if they build a big lead.

Ryan Bates, Ed Oliver full participants on Friday

The good news for Buffalo is that offensive lineman Ryan Bates and defensive tackle Ed Oliver were both full participants on Friday and don’t have an injury designation.

Oliver was limited on Wednesday due to an ankle injury and Bates has been dealing with a knee injury that limited him on Wednesday and Thursday but with no injury designation for either, they should be able to play without any limitations.
