Will the Bills have a chance to play any backups?

While the Buffalo Bills can’t look past the New York Jets, this is a game that they should be able to build a big lead. This could create an opportunity for the coaching staff to work in some of their backups in the second half.

One player in particular who could benefit from extended snaps would be Mitchell Trubisky. The backup quarterback has thrown only seven passes this regular season and this could be a good week to get some extra work just in case the need were to arise during the playoffs.

While they aren’t necessarily backups, this could also be a week to see some veterans, like Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison, playing fewer snaps. This is the first year with 17 regular season games and less playing time this week could help keep them fresh for the playoffs.
