Bleacher Report: Buffalo Bills sneak inside the Top 5

Current Week’s Ranking: 5

Last Week’s Ranking: 7

The Buffalo Bills moved up two spots in the power rankings and had a quote from Josh Allen after the game discussing the struggles from Week 17.

"“Not every game you win is going to be pretty, and that was the case today,” Allen told reporters. “I’m just fortunate to have teammates that step up in big situations like this.” Against a mediocre Falcons team, Buffalo’s mistakes didn’t cost them. They may not next week against the Jets, either. But the Bills have things to clean up before the playoffs start because if they play in the postseason the way they did in Week 17, their playoff trip won’t be a long one."

There is no question that the Buffalo Bills can’t afford to have Josh Allen throw three interceptions in a game and expect to win in the playoffs. However, the good news is that this has typically not been an issue for the quarterback the past few years.

This was only the second time in Allen’s career that he has had three interceptions in a game and the first time since 2019. On the season, Josh Allen has 15 total interceptions and in the four weeks prior to Week 17, he only threw two interceptions. That stretch also included two games against the Patriots, who have one of the better secondaries in the NFL.

If Josh Allen has another game in Week 18 like he did last week, then there should be some concerns but right now it can just be considered a bad game in tough weather.
