NFL.com: Buffalo Bills move up one spot to sixth

Current Week’s Ranking: 6

Last Week’s Ranking: 7

The power rankings on NFL.com by Dan Hanzus also noted the struggles of the offense and specifically mentioned the dropped touchdown by Stefon Diggs. This was one of the biggest surprises from this past week as Diggs has been pretty reliable in his two years with Buffalo.

"The Bills handled business at home against the Falcons, but not in the way you might have imagined. Stefon Diggs dropped a sure touchdown pass, and Josh Allen threw interceptions on three consecutive drives, but Buffalo got a surprise monster contribution from its running game in a closer-than-it-looks 29-15 win."

While the offense struggled, the performance by the defense is overlooked, and the way they played in the second half really helped this team. They were able to shut the Falcons out, partially due to a touchdown that was overturned combined with a personal foul by Matt Ryan but also contained their run game in the second half with under 40 rushing yards.

The Bills defensive line also did a good job getting pressure on the Falcons’ quarterback as they had four of the five sacks from Week 17. This would be a big boost for this team come playoffs if the defensive line is able to pressure opposing quarterbacks like they showed last week.
