Stefon Diggs is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL but he will need help so defenses can’t focus their coverage so much on him. This is why Gabriel Davis is going to be a key part of this offense and an important player in the playoffs.

After a promising rookie season, this year got off to a slow start as he moved down the depth chart with the addition of Emmanuel Sanders. However, he has seen his role grow and as he has become more involved, the offense has gotten better.

In the last three games he has played, he has been on the field for over 80% of the snaps. He has 13 receptions, 168 receiving yards, and three touchdowns during that stretch. The second-year receiver seems to make big plays at just the right time, like a fourth-down conversion against the Bucs or an impressive sideline catch against the Falcons on Sunday that converted a third and 10 that kept the drive alive.

In addition to Davis’ potential to force defenses to account for him and take coverage away from Diggs, he is also one of the better run-blocking receivers the Buffalo Bills have. This is something that isn’t necessarily captured in a box score but the impact is significant.
