Defensive Ends

The Atlanta Falcons have struggled to protect Matt Ryan and it was good to see the Bills defensive line take advantage here. Greg Rousseau made one of the big plays early in the game when he recorded a strip-sack that was recovered by Harrison Phillips. This play set the Bills up for their second touchdown of the game and gave them a 14-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Mario Addison also added a sack, which is his fifth on the season and extends his lead on the team in that category.

Defensive Tackles

This was one of the best games of the year from the defensive tackles, in particular Ed Oliver and Harrison Phillips. These two in the second half of the year have been playing excellent football and that was on full display Sunday against the Falcons.

The two starting defensive tackles combined for eight total tackles, two sacks, and four QB hits while helping limit the Falcons run game to 96 rushing yards and only 31 rushing yards in the second half.
