Turnovers kept the Falcons in the game in the first half

The Buffalo Bills looked to be on their way to another huge upset in the first half and it was due to them beating themselves with turnovers. It started early when Marquez Stevenson fumbled a punt, which the Bills recovered but did so in the end zone for a safety.

The Bills bounced back and moved the ball almost at will for the rest of the first quarter and found the end zone twice on Josh Allen runs. They had a 14-2 lead into the second quarter but two interceptions by Josh Allen, including one in the red zone, allowed the Falcons to get back into the game with 13 straight points.

The turnovers allowed the Falcons to take a 15-14 lead into halftime. While Josh Allen had another interception to start the second half, Buffalo was able to turn it around and outscored the Falcons 15-0 in the second half to secure the win.

If the Buffalo Bills hope to make a deep playoff run, they can’t afford to turn the ball over the way they did on Sunday against Atlanta.
