One player the Buffalo Bills defense is going to have to spend extra time preparing for this week is Cordarrelle Patterson, who has had a breakout year with the Falcons. He has 1,102 yards from scrimmage with 11 total touchdowns.

On Wednesday, Stefon Diggs, who was a teammate of Patterson when both were members of the Minnesota Vikings, was very complimentary of the former wide receiver turned running back.

The fact that Patterson is almost equally a threat to run the ball or catch the ball out of the backfield, puts a lot of pressure on opposing defenses. This week, most of the responsibility is going to fall on middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to limit Patterson’s impact and try to meet him at the line of scrimmage, regardless of whether he is a running back or going out for a route.

If Edmunds can win this matchup, the Buffalo Bills should be in a great position to win on Sunday.
