Defensive Ends

It was a relatively quiet week from the Buffalo Bills defensive ends outside of rookie Greg Rousseau, who was getting pressure on Mac Jones and forcing him into throws he didn’t necessarily want to make. He would finish the game with one pass defended and two QB hits in this game.

The rest of the group (Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, Efe Obada, and Boogie Basham) combined for four total tackles with no sacks or QB hits.

Defensive Tackles

The interior of the defensive line was a different story as Ed Oliver and Harrison Phillips both made big plays during the course of the game. Phillips finished the game with six total tackles and stepped up with the absence of Star Lotulelei. He has continued his trend of playing some of the best football of his career and is going to force the front office into a tough decision about whether to offer a new contract this offseason.

As for Ed Oliver, he continues to make plays behind the line of scrimmage and had four total tackles and a sack, which was the only one of the game on Mac Jones.
