Bills Week 16 Injury Report: Emmanuel Sanders a full participant on Thursday
The Buffalo Bills could be getting a key part of their offense back in Week 16 against the New England Patriots
The Buffalo Bills once again were on the practice field and got good news about starting wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. He missed last week’s game against the Carolina Panthers due to a knee injury and was limited during a walkthrough on Wednesday.
However, on Thursday he was a full participant according to the Buffalo Bills injury report, and looks like he has a great chance of playing this weekend against the New England Patriots. It remains to be seen what his role might be but he will likely be playing more inside this week than other games this year with Cole Beasley on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Heather Prusak with News 4 tweeted a video from practice on Thursday that showed Emmanuel Sanders looking to be running well.
Josh Allen was a full participant on Thursday
Another player who was a full participant was quarterback Josh Allen. He has been on the injury report due to a foot injury from the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has now gotten two full practices in this week and even confirmed yesterday that there are no lingering issues.
Cam Lewis, Star Lotulelei miss Thursday’s practice for the Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills did have two players miss practice on Thursday with defensive tackle Star Lotulelei out for personal reasons and Cam Lewis out due to illness. The hope is that both players are back for Sunday as Lotulelei is a key part of the defensive tackle rotation while Cam Lewis is likely the first cornerback on the field if any starter has to miss snaps.
Micah Hyde, Taiwan Jones limited on Thursday
The other notable players on the injury report are Micah Hyde and Taiwan Jones. Hyde was limited for the second straight day due to a back injury and while it doesn’t appear like he is likely to miss this weekend’s game, it would be a big loss if he didn’t play. The Patriots have two good tight ends in Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry that Hyde will be asked to cover at times.
As for Taiwan Jones, he is trending in the right direction after not practicing yesterday he was able to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday. He is an important part of their special teams and hopefully will be able to play this week.
