Buffalo Bills 2022 starting left tackle: Dion Dawkins

This is by far the easiest position to predict because Dion Dawkins is locked in as the team’s starting left tackle for the foreseeable future. The Bills drafted Dawkins in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and entered his rookie season behind Cordy Glenn.

However, Dawkins didn’t have to wait long and would finish the year starting 11 games at left tackle after Glenn dealt with a number of injuries throughout the season. The Bills would trade Glenn in the offseason after that season and paved the way for Dawkins to be the full-time starter.

He has remained in that role every year since and earned a contract extension prior to the 2020 season. This season, Dawkins struggled a bit early in the season but this could have been due to some lingering effects after testing positive for COVID-19 during the preseason and was hospitalized.

Unfortunately, Dawkins was added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list prior to Week 15. This past week, Spencer Brown got the start in his place but the rookie struggled and it showed just how important Dawkins is to this line.
