Efe Obada

The first year with the Buffalo Bills got off to a slow start for Efe Obada however he has seen his role expand on this defense since the bye as he has played in five of the last six games. While he has played 22% or more of the defensive snaps in those games, Obada made a strong case to see more playing time moving forward.

In the game against his former team, Obada would register two sacks and bring his total to 3.5 sacks on the season. Even though he has only played 20.25% of the defensive snaps this year, he is now 0.5 sacks behind the team leader, Mario Addison.

Last week, Sean McDermott talked about the desire to get more production from the defensive line in their pass rush. The Buffalo Bills rotate defensive ends regularly over the course of the game with no defensive end playing more than 55% of the defensive snaps this season.

Efe Obada is a player that should be a bigger part of that rotation moving forward, both at defensive end as well as defensive tackle on passing downs.
