Gabriel Davis needs to remain a starter for the rest of the year

The Buffalo Bills had to make a change at wide receiver this week with Emmanuel Sanders ruled out due to a knee injury. This opened the door for Gabriel Davis to see an expanded role this week against the Panthers.

The second-year wide receiver would finish as the team’s leading receiver with five receptions for 85 yards and two touchdowns. This is the third straight week that Davis has caught at least one touchdown.

Gabriel Davis brings a different skillset to this offense as he one of the biggest wide receivers the Buffalo Bills have and does a lot of good things that typically go unnoticed or don’t make into the box score. He is one of the better run blockers at wide receiver and does a good job making catches down the sideline.

The coaching staff is going to have some tough decisions once Emmanuel Sanders is healthy and ready to return but Gabriel Davis, after today’s performance and what he has done the past few weeks, should remain the starter.
