Buffalo Bills struggled on third down, on both sides of the ball

One of the areas that coaches always talk about winning is on third down for obvious reasons. However, in Week 14 the Bills struggled in this part of the game, on both sides of the ball.

The Bills offense was only able to convert two of 13 third-down attempts while the Bucs were able to convert 50% of their third-down attempts by picking up first downs on eight of 16 attempts.

The inability of the offense to extend drives while the defense couldn’t get off the field had a significant impact as it limited the chances of the Buffalo Bills offense to get back onto the field. Then when on the field, they couldn’t stay on the field and extend drives.
