The struggling Buffalo Bills travel to Tampa, FL to take on former division foe, Tom Brady, and his new team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who vaunt one of the hottest passing offenses in the league.
At 7-5, the Buffalo Bills have proven to be the antithesis of what many analysts thought they would be before the season kicked off.
Buffalo has been so inconsistent over the last seven weeks that it’s hard to have any faith in which team will take the field on game days. Aside from their unpredictable play, its head coach has not consistently put the team in positions to win.
Whatever justification exists for Buffalo’s erratic performances over the last month and a half, it needs to be extinguished before the Bills find themselves absent from the postseason for just the second time in five seasons.
The reigning Super Bowl Champions, led by Tom Brady, who is leading the league in passing yards and passing touchdowns, are walking into this matchup with their chests poked out. The Bucs are well aware that Buffalo was a bad game away from facing them in last season’s Super Bowl, but Brady and Co. also know that they can throw the ball on any team in the league.
With Tampa’s diverse offensive attack, it’s hard for defenses to key in on one of the Bucs’ playmakers, which makes them that much more dynamic on offense.
It’s been a long snide for the Bills this season. And although this game barely moves the needle on whether or not they’ll make the playoffs, a win could go a long way in rebuilding its fans’ confidence that Buffalo can compete with any team in the league. Here’s how to watch and a few final thoughts ahead of this interconference matchup.
