Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson

The final x-factors for the Buffalo Bills are their outside cornerbacks, Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson. While this is the second game without Tre’Davious White the secondary wasn’t really tested against the Patriots.

That is not going to be the case on Sunday with wide receivers like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and Tom Brady under center. This is probably going to be the biggest test all season for these two cornerbacks.

Sean McDermott knows how tough of a challenge Mike Evans presents from his time as defensive coordinator with the Carolina Panthers. Evans, who played his first three seasons against McDermott’s defense in Carolina, is one of the biggest wide receivers in the NFL at 6’5″ and 231 pounds and does a good job of using his size to win those 50/50 balls.

As for Chris Godwin, the Bucs move him around and he has primarily been lining up in the slot as of late. However, with the Bills having Taron Johnson, who is one of the better slot corners, it would make sense for this week to see him lining up outside to challenge either Wallace or Jackson.

This is one area that the Bucs have a clear advantage and if the Bills cornerbacks are able to limit their impact, this has the potential to be the deciding factor this week.
