3. Taron Johnson

One of those players that Tom Brady is going to be looking for is Chris Godwin, who is coming off a 15-reception game last week against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs move the wide receiver around a bit but he primarily lines up in the slot.

According to the Bucs’ website, Godwin has played 63.8% of his snaps out of the left or right slot. He has 43 receptions, 512 receiving yards, and two touchdowns from that spot in the formation.

The pressure will be on Taron Johnson to contain Godwin and limit his impact in Week 14. Johnson has been a key part of this defense the past two seasons and earned a contract extension earlier this season to remain with the Bills through 2024.

This season, Johnson has 55 total tackles, one interception, six passes defended and quarterbacks have a passer rating of only 62.8 when throwing his direction. This matchup will be a great test for Johnson and where he ranks among the best slot corners in the NFL.
