Buffalo Bills defense shows why they are one of the best in the league
Last week against the Indianapolis Colts was an embarrassing performance for this defense. While the Saints’ offense is not going to be confused for a top offense, this was a great bounce-back performance.
They held the Saints to only 190 total yards, 44 rushing yards, an average of only 3.3 yards per play, two sacks, and one interception.
One area in particular that the Bills defense really improved was getting off the field and not letting the Saints extend drives. In third down situations, the Saints converted only five out of 14 opportunities and only one in three fourth-down opportunities for first downs.
Ed Oliver is a force on this defensive line
The Buffalo Bills’ first round pick from the 2019 NFL Draft continues to play at a high level this season with another dominant performance. Ed Oliver looked to be unblockable against the Saints and was constantly getting in the backfield to make plays and put pressure on Trevor Siemian.
Oliver finished the game with four total tackles, one pass defended, two QB hits, and got into the sack column with half of a sack, split with Efe Obada.
