NFL.com: Buffalo Bills slip only two spots but remain in Top 10
Current Week’s Ranking: 7
Last Week’s Ranking: 5
The power rankings on NFL.com didn’t have the Bills falling as far as ESPN and CBS Sports and surprisingly dropped only two spots to seven. Dan Hanzus at NFL.com wrote for Week 12:
"The alarm bell has been sounded in Western New York — and rightfully so. The Colts came to town and made themselves at home on Sunday, dominating the Bills in all three phases of a 41-15 blowout victory. Jonathan Taylor scored five touchdowns and gained 185 of Indy’s 264 rushing yards, the most surrendered by a Buffalo defense in three years."
Hanzus is right that there are legitimate concerns for this team as Buffalo was beaten in all three phases, which includes surprisingly special teams. Returner Isaiah McKenzie has had his issues this year and had a fumble at a key point in the game, but this week Tyler Bass also surprisingly struggled.
The second-year kicker has been one of the most accurate kickers all season but against the Colts missed two field goal attempts. They weren’t necessarily chip shots as they were from 56-yards and 49-yards out but Bass has been making those with ease this year.
