Turnovers

If there is one theme from this game, and the Buffalo Bills loss in Week 9, it is turnovers and losing the turnover battle. In the game against the Jaguars, the Bills had three turnovers and this week against the Colts they had four (although one was by Mitchell Trubisky late in the game).

The first turnover came early in the game, and on the Buffalo Bills first drive Josh Allen tried to force a pass towards Gabriel Davis that was picked off by George Odum. The Colts safety almost had a second interception on the next drive when Allen under-threw Stefon Diggs but fortunately that one hit the ground before Odum secured it.

Allen added another interception in the second half but the turnover that was probably the biggest turning point of the game came right before halftime. The Colts had just added a field goal to take a 17-7 lead but with just over 2 minutes left in the first half, the Bills were getting the ball back and knowing they were getting it to start the second half, there was a realistic chance they could make it a game.

However, Isaiah McKenzie tripped on the kickoff return and fumbled the ball when he hit the ground which the Colts recovered and brought it back to the two-yard line. Jonathan Taylor found the end zone on the next play and being up 24-7 the game was seemingly over at that point.
