Defensive Player of the Year – Jordan Poyer
As I mentioned earlier in the article, the Buffalo Bills have one of the best defenses in the NFL and safety Jordan Poyer is one of the big reasons why. The Bills signed Poyer in 2017 and has been a starting safety, alongside Micah Hyde, right from the start.
These two have combined to be one of the top safety duos in the NFL but Poyer has seemingly been overlooked each year when it comes to Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams. However, this year he has made a case that is almost impossible to not recognize.
This season, Poyer has 48 total tackles (which ranks second on the team), seven passes defended (tied for second on the team), and four interceptions (which leads the Bills). He has also added one sack and four tackles for a loss.
