Bold Prediction #2: Josh Allen throws for over 300 passing yards

This wouldn’t seem to be a bold prediction since this is something Josh Allen has typically shown he can do with ease over the past two years. However, since the bye week the Bills quarterback has only averaged 256.5 passing yards per game and has a total of two passing touchdowns with two interceptions.

If the Buffalo Bills commit more to the run, especially early, it should open up more lanes for Josh Allen to throw the ball, in particular downfield. The reason is that if the Bills run more, the Jets can’t stay in a two high safety formation and will need to bring those safeties closer to the line of scrimmage.

Another big change this week is the return of Dawson Knox, who has had a breakout season this year. The Bills having a player like Knox creates problems for the opposing defense and doesn’t allow them to sit back in coverage as much.

The New York Jets are allowing the third-most passing yards per game at 274.8 yards per game. This week looks to be setting up perfectly for Josh Allen to have a bounce-back game.
