A.J. Klein

The final player on this list is one who is actually scheduled to be under contract in 2022. However, he could be released in an effort to create some added cap space.

There are actually a few players that could be in line to be released if the Buffalo Bills want some more cap space in the offseason. If the team was to release center Mitch Morse it would save just under $8 million while releasing Cole Beasley would save the team roughly $6 million.

However, both of these players are currently starters and aren’t necessarily as likely as someone like A.J. Klein. He is a good veteran backup however with a 2022 cap hit of $5.6 million and a potential saving of $5.2 million, according to Spotrac, this would be the one player that could be cut.

While Klein has played well at times, particularly during a three-game stretch last year in place of Matt Milano, the Bills could likely find other options that may not command the salary that Klein is expected to make next year.
