Mitchell Trubisky

The next player who is unlikely to be back is quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. He was signed in the offseason to a one-year deal to come in and be the backup to Josh Allen.

At the time of the signing, it was described as a “reset” for the former first round pick after a tumultuous start to his career with the Chicago Bears. In the preseason, Trubisky certainly helped his cause completing 21 of 30 for 231 passing yards and one touchdown with no interceptions.

There is no reason to think that anything has changed and Trubisky will be looking for a starting job, or an opportunity to compete for a starting job next offseason.
