The Buffalo Bills are going to have a lot of decisions at the defensive tackle position and between Butler and Harrison Phillips, who also is a free agent this offseason, I would imagine Phillips has a better chance to return. However, I don’t think it is a great chance and I could see the team electing to make significant changes here.

Phillips was a third round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2018 and has shown some promise at times throughout his three years with the team. However, he hasn’t looked like the same player since suffering a knee injury early in the 2019 season.

The biggest hurdle to determining if Phillips returns to the Buffalo Bills may come down to money. He has shown he can at least be a good rotational player and if the Bills want to bring back a player at the position who knows the system with new players through free agency or the NFL Draft mixed in, this is something the front office would be smart to consider.
