The Buffalo Bills this season brought back a majority of their roster after a successful 2020 season that ended in the AFC Championship Game. However, this offseason could look very different as there are a number of veterans whose contracts are set to expire after the season and are unlikely to return.

After looking at the roster, these are my predictions on who won’t be back next season starting with a player who has led the team in sacks since the start of the 2020 season.

Mario Addison

Last offseason, the Buffalo Bills decided to let Shaq Lawson leave in free agency and sign veteran Mario Addison. The coaching staff knows Addison well from their time together with the Carolina Panthers and while he is older, he had remained productive with four straight seasons with nine or more sacks.

However, last year wasn’t as productive for Addison and he finished with only five sacks but that was still good enough to be tied for the team lead. The additions the Bills made this past offseason at the position made it seem like Addison could be released. He ultimately didn’t and once again has been productive and tied for the team lead in sacks with three.

He is in the final year of his contract and considering the Bills have A.J. Epenesa, Greg Rousseau, and Boogie Basham moving forward, I don’t believe the Bills would re-sign Mario Addison.
