Boogie Basham

The Buffalo Bills used their first round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft on Greg Rousseau and then in the second round came back to the position and selected Boogie Basham. At the time, Rousseau was considered the high ceiling player but would need time to develop while Basham was expected to be the player ready to contribute right away.

However, that hasn’t played out this way as Rousseau has become a starter while Basham is struggling to work his way into the rotation at the position.

For Basham, unlike someone like Butler, the reason he is on the list is he just doesn’t seem to get the opportunity to play. He has been active for only two games this year, in Week 4 and Week 5, and when he played he was productive with 1.5 sacks and five total tackles.

It will be worth watching if this changes moving forward but as of right now, Boogie Basham hasn’t been able to contribute much to this defense.
