Buffalo Bills: Spencer Brown inactive, Quintin Morris active for Week 9
The Buffalo Bills once again will have a new starting offensive line along with some noteworthy changes on the depth chart at other positions
The Buffalo Bills entered this weekend knowing that they were going to be using a new starting offensive line. The team ruled both starting right tackle Spencer Brown and starting right guard Jon Feliciano out for this weekend’s game due to injuries.
The Bills will likely be using this game as an audition for a long-term answer to replace Feliciano after they placed him on injured reserve on Saturday. This game should mark the return of Cody Ford and he, along with Ike Boettger, are going to be looking to replace Feliciano while he is out with a calf injury.
Davis Webb will be the Buffalo Bills backup QB in Week 9
In addition, the Bills made a number of other roster moves on Saturday which included placing Mitchell Trubisky on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. He joined Jake Fromm, who was added to the list earlier this week.
The Buffalo Bills on Saturday called up Davis Webb from the practice squad. He has spent the past few years with the Bills but has yet to play a regular season snap. He will serve as this week’s backup to Josh Allen and if the game becomes a blowout could finally see some playing time during a regular season game.
Quintin Morris is active for the first time in his NFL career
The Buffalo Bills are hoping that Dawson Knox will be able to return soon from his broken hand. Last week, the Bills called up Kahale Warring from the practice squad but this week it will be undrafted free agent Quintin Morris.
Morris is an athletic tight end from Bowling Green University who converted to a tight end during college after playing wide receiver. He will likely see little snaps this week but in a game where the Buffalo Bills are expected to win easily, it may be a good opportunity to get some targets.
