Bold Prediction #2: Tommy Sweeney sets career-high in reception, receiving yards

Over the last three games, the Jaguars have allowed 19 receptions, 236 receiving yards, and one touchdown to tight ends, according to NFL.com. This would have been a great chance for Dawson Knox to build on his breakout season but he has already been ruled out for this week.

This instead gives Tommy Sweeney, who replaced Knox in the starting lineup, an opportunity to have a career game. The former seventh round pick hasn’t seen much playing time over the past three seasons and last week was his first time starting since Week 2 of 2019.

If Sweeney is to set career marks in both receptions and receiving yards he will need to beat his numbers from Week 17 against the New York Jets. In that game, Sweeney had five receptions and 76 yards and he should surpass both this week against the Jaguars.
