The injury report for the Buffalo Bills continues to grow ahead of their Week 9 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. On Thursday, starting safety Jordan Poyer missed practice due to a shoulder injury.

Poyer had one of his best games of the season last week against the Miami Dolphins with 10 total tackles and an interception late that helped secure the win. He was able to practice on Wednesday which could indicate that he suffered the injury during practice yesterday.

The Buffalo Bills will have one more practice for the week and the Bills will also announce injury designations for Week 9 that will provide some clarity on the severity of the injury. If Poyer is not able to play, the Bills would likely turn to Jaquan Johnson. The fourth-year safety started for Poyer in Week 4 when he missed the game due to injury.

Multiple starters on the Buffalo Bills offense sit out Thursday

For the second straight day, the Buffalo Bills were missing two of their starting offensive linemen. Rookie Spencer Brown missed last week’s game due to a back injury and doesn’t seem to be any closer to returning with two straight DNPs.

In addition, Jon Feliciano looks unlikely to play after also sitting out practice on Thursday. If Brown and Feliciano both miss the game Sunday, expect Daryl Williams to start at right tackle with Cody Ford next to him at right guard. Ike Boettger would remain in the starting lineup at left guard, where he played last week.

In addition to the two starting offensive linemen, tight end Dawson Knox and wide receiver Cole Beasley did not practice. Knox is recovering from a broken hand and would likely still be at least one more week away from returning.

As for Cole Beasley, he appears to have a better chance of returning. He was reported as a did not practice but was able to do some things during practice but was not in uniform, as Jon Scott tweeted.

The Buffalo Bills will announce injury designations tomorrow after their final practice however at this point, it is safe to say they will be without a few starters on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
