This game will be the best uniform game on the Week 8 slate

The Bills are in their throwback uniforms with the standing red buffalo. The last time they wore these uniforms they beat the Los Angeles Chargers, who wore their navy pants and navy tops, by 10 points in Week 12 of last season. Although the game was pretty sloppy as far as execution for Buffalo, they still were able to secure a win and avoid a conference loss that may have eliminated them from earning the 2-seed in the postseason.

Since Sean McDermott became the head man for the Bills in 2017, Buffalo is 4-1 in their throwback uniforms, their only loss coming in rare form to the Dolphins in Week 13 of 2018. The Dolphins also wore their throwback uniforms that day in Miami Gardens and beat the Bills by a score of 17-21 in Allen’s rookie season. The Bills still had a chance to win the game late when Allen and former Bills’ tight end Charles Clay failed to connect on what would have been the game winning score.

Still, the uniforms were a delight that day. And this year’s matchup will feature the same threads, but this time in Highmark Stadium and with a largely more seasoned quarterback for the home team.

The Bills have an opportunity to continue their dominance within the division by going 8-0 in the AFC East on Sunday, dating back to last season. They’ll have to establish their dominance early, which should have the Dolphins running for the bus by halftime.

For Buffalo to reach the heights they hope to achieve this year, they have to win this one. And this game almost counts as two in the standings being both a divisional and conference bout.
