Fantasy Football: Stefon Diggs’ outlook for Week 8 against the Dolphins
What can fans expect from Stefon Diggs in Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins?
The start of the season wasn’t what many hoped when they drafted Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs. He was coming off a breakout season where he led the league in receptions, targets, and receiving yards.
Recently, there has started to be some signs that Diggs is starting to become that wide receiver many envisioned with double digit targets in three of his last four games. On the season he now has 37 receptions on 58 targets for 463 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Week 6 performance against the Tennessee Titans
Entering Week 6, this looked like a great chance for Stefon Diggs to have a monster game as the Titans secondary has struggled to really slow down any wide receivers to this point. The Bills wide receiver responded with his best game of the season with nine receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown.
However, it seemed to be still underwhelming due in large part to having the lowest ADOT (average depth of target) of the season at 8.5 yards per target.
What to expect from Stefon Diggs in Week 8?
The Miami Dolphins defense has struggled to stop opposing wide receivers and giving up the most fantasy points per game at 47.93, according to NFL.com. The Dolphins were without both starting cornerbacks, Byron Jones and Xavien Howard, for one of those games which certainly played a factor. Both returned last week and should play Sunday against the Bills which will be a boost for their defense.
This should create more of a challenge for Stefon Diggs but even with that said, Stefon Diggs has another great opportunity at a big game, particularly finding the end zone. The Bills are going to be without Dawson Knox for a few games, who has developed into a touchdown threat for this team.
Since the Bills are going to be without Knox, this could give Diggs a chance to improve those touchdown totals.
